Fifth Corona Case in Hyderabad- First Patient Cured & Released- News Website in India

HYDERABAD: 

The fifth person to test positive for coronavirus in Hyderabad on 17 March 2020. The person identified as a 52-year-old Indonesian who reached Karimnagar via Delhi. The state health authorities confirmed the COVID-19 virus test as positive and declared it as the fifth case in the state. The patient appeared to come with a group comprising residents from Indonesia and Malaysia who came to India to attend a meeting at Karimnagar. As of now, officials have traced around 11 contacts of the patients. 

Soon after the news about the patient surfaced on Monday evening, some members from the group rushed to the Gandhi Hospital in Hyderabad from Karimnagar, where they were already attending the meeting.

According to said sources, the patient showed signs of fever, cough and breathlessness.
Meanwhile, Official discharged the first person (a 24-year-old software techie) to tested Covid-19 positive in Hyderabad from the hospital on Friday. The patient was undergoing treatment in the Gandhi Hospital. After tested negative for coronavirus for twice, the Officials allowed him to go home. However, authorities have strictly advised a home quarantine and observation for 2 weeks following the discharge.

 The second case of corona positive came on Saturday 14 March. Nothing much known apart from the fact that the person came with a travel history to Italy. Two more persons with similar travel history also underwent the test. Officials sent their samples to National Institute of Virology (NIV), Pune for observation.

The third confirmed case came on 15 March. The patient has a travel history to the Netherlands. The fourth positive coronavirus case came on 16 March. The state health ministry confirmed that the person is a recent traveller to Scotland.

The authorities send the first patient to home three days ago after treating him successfully. Meanwhile, the rest of the patients remains under treatment and isolation care.
